"I usually love Tri-City. Since I was headed home from out of town it was too late to start cooking I stopped got an order to go for myself my mother. I got mom a 3 piece fish (with coleslaw and fries). She almost broke a tooth on one of the fries it was so hard... and it wasn 't a little shoestring potatoes it was a large steak fry. I got the combo platter (chicken strips, fries, onion rings, deep fried mushrooms mozzarella sticks) but while there are usually 2-3 good sized strips (that rival a fish portion) in today 's order I got 4 small nuggets that fit in my palm. I was severely disappointed."

"Home cafe. Good food for the price. Staff friendly. Local eatery. Think Perkins style food, but better. Had the chicken strawberry pecan salad with Raspberry Vinegarette. Excellent. Steamed Broccoli bowl and coconut cream pie for dessert as banana cream was sold out. Cream, chocolate and fruit pies. Elvis pie also if you like peanut butter and banana as a combination. Service Superb as it was not too busy and they took the time to answer questions."

"Our last visit there before that close for good. This place has been a Wausau staple for decades (established in 1968). I remember coming here as a teenager and all the birthday party's we had there. The pizza was always one of the best in town. I also loved their calzones. Thr staff were always so friendly. We are going to miss this iconic restaurant. Salute!"

"This was our first time here, we came from out of town for a getaway weekend in the area and chose to have dinner here tonight, so we made reservations. The restaurant's interior decor and design captured my attention right away, it was visually ambient and upscale. We were greeted by the little young lady working the front desk, and the server came over and took us to our table right away. We ordered the California roll, Chicken Hibachi dinner, Chicken Katsu, and green tea mochi. We got our soup and salad, which were delicious starters. The California roll was perfect. The chicken katsu was perfectly crispy, flavorful, delicious paired with the sweet chili sauce on the side and the sticky white rice. It's one of my favorite dishes and this did not disappoint, they were spot on with how they make it. My partner's chicken hibachi meal was fantastic, he was very satisfied with his meal. The green tea mochi was the last thing that came, and it was light and delicious topped with whipped cream, chocolate syrup and sprinkles. The perfect dessert after all that we had. The server was wonderful, she checked on us consistently, and was very friendly and courteous. We appreciated it. We were very happy with our visit, everything was spot on and I would recommend this place, it's a real gem, wonderful mom and pop restaurant!"
