"Not exactly a surfeit of pubs in the Black Head area...in fact the only one! There is of course the ubiquitous bowlo, but as far as pubs go, this is it. Do they take advantage of their unique position? Yes indeed by offering great drinks pricing and providing an extensive and somewhat interesting menu.We ordered our meals and found a nice table nearby the roaring wood heater...all comfortable and warm. Lots of seating throughout the venue and as we were to discover not an accident that the majority of seats were occupied.Food was with us in an acceptable time frame...nothing flash...but oh so well crafted and entirely delicious. My choice was the barramundi...yes I know...not local but I like it and it was simply divine. She, who is often obeyed, had a scotch fillet which was devoured with gusto and once again greatly appreciated. Both were presented with chipped potato and a colourful, tasty, lightly dressed salad.The service was effective and attentive...lots of smiles and enthusiastic staff. Are we going back again...you bet!"

"We found it by accident and it was worth it. Old style fish and chips, a quality oil was used that doesn't leave a terrible taste in your mouth and the fish wasn't lost in batter. The chips weren't frozen which is such a welcome...change. If I'm ever back this way I would definitely go again."

"Being from Sydney and having very good Indian restaurants near our home, we were skeptical of how Jashan Lounge at Halliday’s point would be as there is not much choice around here, the tavern although very popular, the food didn’t really appeal to us being standard pub style food. We were very impressed with all the food, well done Jashan Lounge, keep up the good work ."
