With the China Restaurant Lohfelden, I was only a few minutes and less than two kilometers from the above houses. Lohfelden, an unwritten sheet for us. The navigation device led us to a parking lot nearby. Parking one hour free, that should be enough. We had to look for a little, but the China restaurant was well signposted and located in the civic house. On the few meters walk there we could make some more gastronomy, such as two Italian and a Bosnian restaurant. If the signatories worked quite cheerful to the civic house, the China restaurant and a bar, we wondered if we were right here when we were standing in front of the building. Everything was very gloomy, and there was also no sign that would indicate a restaurant: the restaurant from a distance However, we could see covered tables behind the glass front, and ashtrays on tables in the outdoor area indicated that there had to be life here. The door was also open. Otherwise no signs of life in the form of guests. All tables empty. It looked a bit ineffective, gloomy and dead, and in the entrance I asked the question: to drive home, right? Still a nameless entrance I don't know why, but my loved one stopped against it, let's go in. O.K., an attempt was worth it, and in retrospect it would have been very bad if we had not entered here. Because it was worth it! After entering the restaurant, you are in the middle of the buffet. If you turn right before, you get to the empty area on the glass front to the square in front of the civic house we had seen before. If you go through the buffet area, a new world opens. And here was operation! At least about 5 tables were usually occupied at the glass front to the back with a view of a small pond. We were surprised, because from the outside impression we had not expected such a thing. We were looking for a place at the window overlooking the pond full of ducks (the duck on my plate later hopefully did not come from this pond. A young man asked us if we wanted to eat from the buffet or a la carte, and we both chose the latter. Even though the buffet looked quite appetizing in passing, we had no desire for it from bad experience elsewhere. The next surprise was the small menu. Including supplements and dessert there were only 55 different dishes. In addition, 8 lunches of high speed between 7 and 9 Euros, with a spring roll or day soup included. If one is otherwise beaten by hundreds of dishes in the menu, which differ in part only by adding a single ingredient, the selection was easy to meet here and also the impression that one knows what to do and concentrates on the few dishes. My dearest chose the lunch quick dish M03: Fried chicken meat with mushrooms. As a free appetizer she chose the spring roll. I once again ventured to duck with vegetables and chose a Beijing soup in advance. To all this we ordered a large bottle of mineral water. The first impression was good, and we realized that there was much less decoration than otherwise in Asian restaurants, which was more tolerable to the atmosphere. Guest room with a view towards buffet window front to the Ententeich During the waiting, our eyes were swept around, and we realized that the tooth of time had already cut a little bit of this gastronomy, even if it did not break the unusually simple ambience. The tables are partly outdated with cracks and ejected corners, decorative discs with jumps and the glass dome roof so green that one could no longer see the sky. Also, the men's toilets were clearly improved for my terms of cleanliness. Although there were two different soap dispensers, olives and elder fragrances, it smelled unpleasant to urine, and the toilets were not particularly clean. Back at the table, it was quickly forgotten, because the preliminary soup came as a crucible with lid, which was then covered and taken by the Lord in the service. Wow! It looked like half a liter of Beijing soup! Beijing soup It wasn't much less! It took some time until I hit the bottom of the vessel. Above all, the soup was really hot to the last spoon and also tasted quite good. Maybe a little sweeter. But better than different. It was similar to my wife's spring role. It could have been a bit more salt, but again: better than different! The spring role in itself looked great and was one of the biggest specimens we've ever seen. And then the words of my Holden: I have never seen such an appetizing spring role! . Both from outside and from inside. That looked self-made. Nothing boiled or filthy. On the contrary. All components clean and recognizable cut and well cooked. Really delicious! The attached sauce was just a bit much, perhaps as a compensation for it being a little watery. With the penultimate spoon of my soup came my main dish. Mr. Ober had to wait a few seconds before he could fill my plate and take the empty spooned soup again. We got so slowly the impression that with the otherwise well-known Chinese asian friendliness it was not far here. I had more the impression that our husband was relatively annoyed, unstoppable and impatient in the service, distanced and vocabulary to it (no only time the question of how it tasted. It seemed almost arrogant, as if you wanted to be born to better than serving annoying customers food. But even that did not stop the food itself! The crispy duck looked great and was just according to my taste! Yeah, she wasn't pink anymore, but not dry. Crispy skin and meat half-juice. I enjoyed it! Very good. crispy duck And also the chicken meat with vegetables wounded my dearest very well. The first comment was that the broccoli was beautifully bite-resistant! Roasted chicken meat While I eradicated my portion despite felt half-liter Beijing soup to half the rice supplement, my wife had to stop at some point and packed the rest for home. And so I was looking forward to a nice dinner : 7.00 Euro and then take home? Rarely experienced. Overall, this visit was a little luck if one considers that I was standing outside the door Let's go home!
