"I was with a friend of dr Bimmlbah today on recommendation from the region. We have eaten excellent from soup to dessert. The kitchen cooks regional and supra-regional dishes at a high level from fresh ingredients without inappropriate exaggerations. French fish soup, the calfsbäckchen and cinnamon chick all very tasty. The Gaststub ́zur Bimmlbah I strongly recommend to anyone who loves and appreciates good cuisine."

"I år firar Café och Pension Rose i Cranzahl 25-årsjubileum. Vi stannade där för att äta lunch innan vi åkte med ångloken på Fichtelbergsbahn. För 10,80 € med öl/vatten fick vi en "bauernfrühstück", en pytt-i-pannaliknande rätt som jag fann klart godkänd. Miljön i restaurangen fick vi på köpet, jugendstil à la DDR i varje detalj. Det mesta var lokalt tillverkat av fabriker varav ingen överlevde "Die Wende". Sådant skapar blandade känslor i en liten ort."
