"Specialities mesón refuge is a restaurant located in the center of maria, province of almeria in the natural park Sierra maría los vélez. our restaurant has a cafe, dining room where you can eat à la carte and menu, there are also countless typical and author tapas that can be tried for an economically unsignificant price. We have wi-fi area, gardens, summer terrace, playground, parking and accommodation in the rural convent of maria pensions. We make traditional stews daily: pumpkin pots, wheat, rabbit guruls, tajas crumbs, etc. all our products also have to carry. We work hard to give it more at least, taking care of prices and questioning the conventional. know a little more about the history of the company founded in 2009. "We had a day out in the Sierra Maria north of Velez Blanco, the weather was perfect and the scenery with blossom and spring flowers was stunning. We ended up at the recreational area of La Piza which is also the source of the river...Piza. It is in the middle of a tranquil environment of pine trees and secular oaks, and is one of the best preserved wooded areas in the province of Almería. The Restaurant/bar La Piza was open for lunch so in we went, we were the only ones in the main dining room. We were not offered menus and the chalk board had suggestions but no prices. That should have been a warning sign. Our genial host though pressed us to have the house speciality which was Lamb Chops and Patatas Pobre. We shared a standard salad to start and then three of us had the lamb whilst the third, a vegetarian, had a Tuna Tortilla, we all shared a plate of patatas. We had two bottles of wine and ended the meal with some fairly basic desserts. Whilst we enjoyed our rustic fayre we were rather surprised when the final bill came to €84! Subsequently speaking to friends (and restaurateurs) who have been there, they were offered the same dishes and were equally surprised at the final bill."
