"I'll visit this place weekly while I'm out of town for work. One of the best of many cafés in the beautiful coastal town of Bowen. There is enough room for me to park my truck nearby. The hotel is located on a corner of the main street of the city. A clean, well presented interior is decorated in a nautical theme with many wooden sailboat models that dress the walls. Very good food and excellent service from very friendly and welcoming staff. The café is small enough to be called intimate, but not cramped. Eggs Benedikt is highly recommended and the coffee is served also experienced coffee snobs: . On site toilets are available and are free and kept free. After a meal you can take a ten-minute walk to the coast where the many public amenities. If your pulling off the highway at Bowen for fuel I highly recommend taking the extra time to stretch your legs and a meal and a coffee in this large small café. "The restaurant is not open due to cyclone Debbie, but grab a picnic and head up the hill. Amazing views so take a camera. Rain or fog or clear the views are fantastic. There are some easy walking tracks around the hill, so if you can take some time to enjoy these too. Oh, by the way take a $2 coin to use the binoculars. Looking forward to the restaurant re opening."
