"We took the bus #910 from Santa Cruz de Tenerife to this beach town called San Andres. The town is actually a fishing town outside of the larger city. To catch the bus from town go to El Intercambiador the exchange) downtown. The bus leaves from the second floor. It costs 1.25€. It goes along the coast, past cruise ships and through an industrial area. You'll know when you reach San Andres because there's a town with a promenade. You can get off there and explore the town or it continues and turns around at the popular beach area. The more popular with tourist restaurant which we had gone to a few days before was closed at 5:00 so we went back to the Main Street- where the bus stops and found this gem. Everyone in there were locals but we were welcomed warmly. We noticed how good the prices were. I am celiac so I told the waiter who understood and did not bring me bread, nor did he charge me for it. My companeros got fresh from the oven bread and butter. I ordered an avocado and prawn salad which was listed as a starter, I also ordered prawns done in garlic and olive oil. I could have just had the avocado and prawns! It was an entire avocado placed on a big slice of tomato, lettuce and loaded with prawns! My husband had dorado fish and was very pleased. We were a group of 4 and everyone was happy! If you travel like this, tell the waiter beforehand that you'll be splitting the bill. There was a mixup because we all, except my husband, a starter and main course. By the way, when we asked at the tourist information where we could eat seafood, they told us to go to Dan Andres because it's a fishing town."
