"Now located on the route d'Avignon near Uzes and incorporating different outlets on the same site. Wake up, le Tracteur, these review sites are not impressed by such tardiness. No obvious continued connection with its name, but hey. The overall style is agricultural shabby chic, similar to some trendy restaurants in Paris, but it doesn't quite pull it off, the fellow diners creating what atmosphere was achieved. We ate inside as wintry nights are echoed in the evening temperatures. Food was very good and we experienced a willingness to accommodate a vegetarian diner. We chose a red Corbiere which was pleasant and reasonably priced. The same wines can be bought on site. We experienced that unwillingness to try to interpret our basic French that frustrates foreign visitors. Must try harder (me that is). Overall, a good experience and a justified competitor for our patronage, occasionally."

"Found this place by asking locals where to eat. Young chef, interesting, innovative menu. We tried a local fish dish which we loved. The deserts were delectable and the wine excellent. The waitress was very helpful and we enjoyed watching the chef cook and chatting to him about the menu. Highly recommended."

"The walled courtyard, with shade provided by overhanging trees is a lovely place to be, and the staff were friendly and helpful, also speaking good English.Food here is very reasonably priced, but lacks the care, attention and special flavour expected of a meal from this reason. The "medium" lamb cutlets were almost cremated, and the fries could have come from Mcdonald's. The Salmon was described as good, but not special, and the same applied to the desserts.A superb venue, let down by a mediocre chef."

"Le Tracteur has been in business for a long time now and continues to offer a straight forward formula of a small number of menu options of well executed traditional French dishes sometimes with a modern twist at a good price. I enjoyed rognons de veau as a starter cooked in a traditional manner with the twist being an addition of almonds on the top which I am not sure worked but was not a significant negative. I followed with a really proper joue de boeuf in red wine which was really full of flavour and excellent. The owner likes to provide a local take on the British dessert of fruit crumbles which he does with an assured touch. Altogether, a good experience in the countryside with local people enjoying their night out in a relaxed atmosphere with slightly over worked but friendly staff. There is a good list of local wines at a reasonable price."

"We spent a couple of nights at La Begude St Pierre and had dinner in one of the evenings. The setting is very nice but the food was sensational very, very good! Thank you for a memorable dinner."
