"It occured to me that I have been very remiss, in that I eat at Coffee Club at Mount Ommaney probably once a fortnight (used to be once a week) and yet I've never reviewed them. My apologies.<br/ <br/ I would have to say that this outlet is one of the more consistently good Coffee Clubs the food is pretty much always on par and it's very rare that they drop the ball here. Coffee is always hot and well made. Breakfast favourites for us are the Chorizo and Tomato Hot Pot with poached egg; Eggs Benny (always good), bacon and egg breakfast roll and the pancakes. We usually give there new menu items a roll at some stage and usually they are okay, although I wasn't overly excited by the french toast. I also love the nachos and have done for years and the cabinet offering are also usually pretty good. My son loves their burgers and will often order the standard hamburger if we stop off there for dinner whilst out shopping on a Thursday night. <br/ <br/ I also love their frappes and can never go past the pine lime frappe (not spliced, just doesn't need ice cream as far as I'm concerned). So while I do get a bit bored from time to time, I will always be back there as it's convenient, I know that I'm going to get a good meal and the people watching is always fun."

"First time I've tried fish n chips from this store and now it's my favourite place! I got the barra family pack with coleslaw and it was the best fish n chips I've eaten. The fish n calamari rings were fresh and the beer battered chips were light, crispy and fluffy inside. I loved it! The staff were very friendly and service was quick too depending on the time of course. Do yourself a favour and try this and help support local businesses."

"Like a lot of my fellow tripadvisors I often post more than I read before entering a restaurant. Often it doesn't bother me but this time I probably should've read the review first and wow - the reviews are very poor for this one!Doesn't surprise me.I just don't get this place. What is it exactly? A restaurant? A cafe? A refectory??? You have a more intimate indoor area then you have this open ugly cafe takeaway looking like section. When I arrived there was no staff to be seen. I had no idea how the place worked. Do I wait to be seated (no sign), order first, go up to the counter? Later on I would find 2 staff waiting outside.Then the staff. If this is a restaurant why are some so rude and others curteous? I had a staff who came, cleared the tables. I was still holding my plate and she took it away. Said absolutely nothing, not even a question and worst of all the knives nearly slipped onto the face of my fellow patron! So abrupt. Where do they get these waitstaff?Finally a jazz club? Say what? A normal thursday night but there was no music or sign of anything. Quiet just people noise. Where's the music where's the ambiance? The place appears totally inconsistent and hectic. I simply don't get it. Judging by the reviews I'm quite surprised the place is still open now that it's May...I sampled their risotto. Terrible terrible terrible, one of the worst I've ever had. It's unusual for me to post too many scathing reviews but this was rubbish. What dry, more like soggy fried rice with a dash of dilute tomato paste on top. The tiger prawns were ok but I was quiet put off by this so called risotto I decided to order something else instead. Waitstaff did not ask how the meal was when I informed them I wanted to order something else. In the end, no offer for my meal to be refunded (nor did I ask). I'd think twice before ordering the risotto.I tried their marinara pasta instead. It was much more pleasant! The only thing that saved this review from being a 1 or 0/5. The creamy tomato base sauce was fantastic. The seafood was ok. King prawns were fresh the rest I'm not too sure. The place has a lot of potential but needs to focus on its branding on consistency. It's doing everything but also nothing at the moment. I'm not sure if I'd be back with all the other good restaurants around southbank one can try. Pricing isn't too bad."

I ate the summer pork roll with grilled pork: delicious, but very messy to eat, and my husband ate the Banh canh cua chao tom - Minced prawn and rice tapioca noodles in rich crabmeat soup. Tasty. I saw many customers ordering the broken rice/combination rice dish that looked appetizing.Tip: Bring cash (Eftpost machines appears to be perpetually out of order) and note the outside dunny: very basic and best visited for toilet emergencies only"
