A recipe of tradition, which sees country vegetables and season jumped in the pan... A leccornia! Sazi, but we must definitely taste the spaghetti on the guitar to the piccantina, stratospheric, and the delicious gnocchi to the simple tomato. Excellent wine, coffee and Marsala with cantucci. The kindness of the lady included in the price that was €70 in three. We saw a lot of roasted meat, and we suggested we take a rabbit next time, i.e. cooked under the grill. Who loses it? "Antonio runs the best butcher shop for miles. He is used by all the top restaurants including the Michelin 3 starred Reale in Castel Di Sangro. If you want your beef well hung (unlike the locals) Antonio will do it for you. If you want a special type of cut, just ask. He is happy to learn new ideas and techniques, so if you have something really unusual he will research it and prepare it. He makes sausages to your order if you wish. For everyday quality, Romantino is excellent. You will be hard pushed though to find organic outdoor reared meat as there is no call for it in Guardiagrele and it is not economic for him to keep it. There is plenty of other produce to buy in the butcher from artisinal oil, pasta, lentils, cheese and salamis. He is almost a one stop shop of great quality. We have been using Antonio's butcher for all the years we have lived in Guardiagrele"
