"My boyfriend and I visited Borzonasca on a whim, after seeing it on a map and thinking it looked picturesque. We couldn’t have picked a more charming village to visit, 200m above sea level and when we found ourselves hungry we visited the only Trattoria around: Antica Trattoria Rocchin. This is the sort of place that only the locals really know about, only the locals ever really go to, and everyone knows everyone this only added to the charm and we were met with incredible hospitality. The owner/waiter informed us that there was no menu, and listed off a handful of specials that the kitchen was making that day. I had the most sensational trofie pesto; the best I have ever had. I also tried my boyfriend’s ravioli ragu which was so flavourful and perfectly portioned. My aranciata was extremely fruity (I wouldn’t be surprised if it was handmade on site) and came in a hug of plentiful proportions! I wish I could eat here every day. Prices are cheap for the quality: €20 for two plates and two sodas. Wholeheartedly recommend."
