"Es gibt also auch in der gastronomischen Wüste noch Wasserstellen, zu denen man hin und wieder zur Labung von Leib und Seele pilgern kann, wenn man denn ab und zu mal Appetit aif im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes "gut"-bürgerliche Küche hat, denn gerade der Lüdenscheider weiß ja, Krüstchen ist nicht gleich Krüstchen. Hier zumindest schmeckt es noch wie von Hand geklopft, ohne Geschmacksverstärker, saftig und fleischig, sättigend. Die Atmosphäre ist wirklich urig und gemütlich und passt zur Altstadtatmosphäre. Die Auswahl an Gerichten ist begrenzt, zumal Fischgerichte sind Mangelware. Eben viel Fleisch, oft mit Pilzen, Hollandaise und gerne frittierte Rösti, Pommes oder ähnliches. Deftig eben, viele leckere Kalorien.Aber was aus der Küche kommt, kann sich sehen lassen. Putenschnitzel Bombay war ebenfalls sehr lecker-fruchtig, eben hausgemacht, das Fleisch fein und von guter Qualität, große Portion. Leider waren die Kartoffeln sehr in Butter geschwenkt (Kalorien...) Für einen Preis von knapp 14 € eine wirklich üppige Portion.Der Service ist nett, kommunikativ, aber umständlich, unter Umständen hat man zwar schon eine Flasche Wasser auf dem Tisch, aber noch keine Karte, weil erst private Kontakte gepflegt werden müssen (viele Stammgäste), auch der Wein sollte nicht so schmecken, als wäre die Flasche schon eine Woche offen. Ansonsten: Durchaus eine Alternative."

Unfortunately, it could use a renovation from the inside. the chairs and benches were full, big spots. not very friendly. Otherwise very rustic. Meat was unfortunately too dry roasted, so it was very hard. pommes were baked again, were not fresh. the ordered milk coffee, the cup was completely lubricated by the overflowing milk and coffee. Very inconspicuous. the schnapps you spent after dinner was totally sweet on the table, so the schnapps from the glass floats. Unfortunately there was hardly any alcohol in the liquor, was filled with water. other drinks were ordered that were simply forgotten. we sat so on dry. They had the feeling they no longer needed or they have no more joy. It was very lustless. That was the second time it was. We wanted to test it again when we first got a bad day, but unfortunately it was very bad again."
