"The Cellar is a hidden gem in Winterset. It is a small coffee shop just barely off the square and a few stairs down. It serves all types of coffee, teas and smoothies. But the real treat are the breakfast burritos. My favorite is the everything burrito with salsa. And the lunch sandwiches are very tasty as well, my go to's are the chicken salad sandwich just slightly sweet on a flaky croissant and the Duke with yummy roast beef and creamy pepper jack because it's a pressed warm sandwich. Oh, and the scones. Pick any and you can not go wrong. Plus the staff is pretty amazing. Super nice and friendly people. Always greet you with a smile. It's a must try if you visit Winterset!"

"My husband and I go on an annual wine weekend with his sisters each year. We had a delicious dinner at Northside Cafe on Friday so we went back this morning for breakfast and it did not disappoint! First off, Michelle welcomed us with open arms on Friday and welcomed us back this morning like old friends! For dinner on Friday I had the grownup Mac cheese and added grilled onions and bacon...delicious! My husband had one of their massive pork tenderloins (with jalapeños) and loved it! Today my husband and I shared the skillet breakfast and it was fantastic! Stop by and take pictures at the counter Clint Eastwood sat at in the movie “The Bridges of Madison County” and the John Wayne memorabilia. We will certainly stop in again if we get back to the area!"
