"We popped in here on an afternoon for a drink with a view of looking at the menu to potential eat there later that evening whilst stopping at Cedar House. When ordering at the bar I asked what local ale's they had and was informed...they had Tetleys on draught and a number of locally bottled ales. So far so good. I asked for one of the local beers and noticed four bottles of ale on the side. The barman checked the fridge and informed me that he had none chilled and did I want one of the bottles at room temperature (which left me sarcastically thinking No its OK why don't you stick it in the microwave We returned later that evening and was told this time that they had nothing bottled. Considering this pub is situated in an area producing good local Ale's they were not advertising any. If you cant stick bottles in the fridge for customers then what hope is there."

"We were visiting Gower and Googles where to eat in Gower and the Brittania had glowing reviews. 5 Starts because the atmosphere was cosy and friendly, the menu was diverse with very interesting pairings, and the food was totally divine, and the service was excellent without being intrusive. They do offer a vegetarian menu, but their seafood options were too tantalizing to ignore! It's a shame I live in California, otherwise this would deffinately be a local haunt."
When the weather is pleasant you can also eat outside, and there is free WiFi.

"We had the buffet option. the meatballs are the best part along with the cheesy garlic flatbread! very tasty as well as the potato salad from the salad bar. parma ham on the Hawaiian pizza, veggie pizza, pfefferoni, a spicy with jalapenos, magherita, mac n cheese. and salatable. limited choice in comparison to other buffets, but good for a holiday park and a fast meal."

"The young lady at the counter was particularly well organised considering how busy the little shop is. The food was very tasty and well made. I truly recommend popping out to Alcombe for food if you are staying locally because this Chinese and the tandoori round the corner are both very very good."

"Visited The Cod Shop today and can honestly say the best fish and chips we have eaten in a very very long time, well worth the 5* rating we chose to give , we chose a small cod and chips and a regular portion with mushy peas and proper peas,not coloured with a bright green colouring, they both were served pipeing hot, the batter on both portions light and crispy and the fish was fresh and tasty,chips were not greasy at all ,the meals in this shop are cooked to order which is a rareity ,portion sizes were very good to. We chose to eat outside although there is a very nice inside restaurant, we were served by very friendly and polite staff. The Cod Shop was well worth the visit and highly recommend,and we will definitely visit again."
