"After the end of lockdown, my wife and I finally got to celebrate this year. We have both been to the restaurant before and we both wanted to return. On arrival we were greeted and taken through to the drawing room, and had pre dinner drinks. We opted for the dinner menu and accompanying wines.On a previous visit the sommelier had gone out of his way to explain and persuade my wife to try Red Wine. Now she is a full on convert and I owe this to him.The food is classic British with a little modernity thrown in, and I like the If it's not broken why change it I'd much rather have traditional cooked well, rather than contemporary cooked badly. All the courses and accompanying wines were stunning, if I had to be really picky the sauce on the beef and fish were a little thin. The final course of apricot flavours was truly outstanding.We then had cheese,port, coffee and petit fours, and I treated myself to a old single malt.Apologies for no photos, however my wife and I don't take photos of the courses.The service was efficient and polite and all done within social distancing rules. To sum up this isn't our last visit, there will be more to come."

"Wow! at ibis hotel not too far from here to stay and decided for an Indian. I saw the very high star rating for bilal’s so I thought there was an attempt. I can honestly say what I had is the best Indian I had in my life! I had bilals special tandoori and the aromen were immense. it has a large part of all good things that go into a mixed tandoori that are aromatized and dyed to perfection with a tub beautiful sauce that increases the aromen to another level. included is an onion bhaji, the hands below a perfect bhaji. it's incredibly tasteful and very humid (I know I hate this word too, but can't find another suitable word!) I grew up in south london, lived in essex and live now on the isle of wight and I don't have any other restaurant that makes this court this stunning standard. my last night is tomorrow and it looks like I'm gonna be 2 days in the series Indian now"

"I had my 80th birthday there and we had a really great time. My partner and I had the best bedroom overnight and the following morning my daughter and son in law joined me , my partner, my sister and my friend for a really great breakfast. The staff were brilliant on my birthday bash and the following morning. Would recommend the hotel to anyone. Rooms: 4"
