"We arrived in town about noon, and La Terrasse was a convenient place to eat lunch. We were planning to tour Château de Cormatin, which was right across the street, and there was also convenient parking at a nearby church cathedral. Apparently, not a lot of English-only speakers eat at the restaurant, since there was not a menu in English or anyone on the wait staff that spoke English. With my daughter using her phone to help interpret some French on the menu, we finally got our meal ordered. I had some type of beef and potatoes with a salad, which was very good. We were seated in a side section of the restaurant and once our food was delivered to our table our waitress disappeared, never to return. My granddaughter had ordered a meal with ice cream as a dessert, and I finally had to go around to the back counter and try to explain to someone who didn’t understand English what had happened and what I needed. I’m also not sure if they were supposed to bring our check to the table but since no one ever did, I finally went back up to the counter to pay."

"We spent a good culinary time at Volpiano while enjoying the Vegetarian and Bio boards and all with an Italian wine Blanco succulent and ended with an iced coffee. We enjoyed ourselves and the presentation of the boards was a real pleasure for the eyes and it is therefore without moderation that we recommend this house that is worth the detour and that more is, the very nice managers are passionate about good products that they highlight in their way of cooking otherwise. We will return there on a next trip to this beautiful village of France that is Chapaize."
