"Have stayed at Best Western as a holiday maker over the past few years and had good dinners at Snappers on previous occassions, if staying for multiple nights would definitely recommend giving the place a try. On my most recent visit only used Snappers for...breakfast. Great selection of hot buffet and cold continental to choose from, with bread for toast etc and tea and coffee making options. Everything was fine food wise during this stay, but one morning which was a public holiday it looked like there had been staff shortages or they'd just been caught out, as a few tables were either not been cleared or had been cleared and not reset. Many tables without cutlery and a napkin. We just found a clean table and grabbed our own cutlery from the ones available near the buffet. I assume maybe a small tour group had been in maybe when the restaurant first opened for breakfast hence the half ready tables. Was not a bad experience at all and I would definitely stay at Best Western and use Snappers again just felt like the place was playing catch up !!."

"Restaurant was somewhat formal and elegant atmosphere. Me and by mother both had the duck breast, tartare and morton bay bug for entree, and donuts and creme brulee for desert, and a side of brussel sprouts. The food was generally good and well presented, the entree's were very tasty and so was the duck breast, though the meat could have been more tender. The creme brulee was exceptional, though the doughnuts were a let down, being overly-tough balls of dough with a distinct lack of the lemon curd, not particularly distinguishable from something you would get out of the supermarket bakery section. The brussel sprouts were also not particularly great, being simple brussel sprouts sitting in a bowl with a watery honey soup at the bottom, not affecting the flavour of the sprouts on the top but being overly sweet when it was in your spoon. Those items weren't what I'd consider restaurant quality. But besides that, the meal was quite tasty and left a good impression on us. Though the food was good, it serving sizes were quite small, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant if you have a big appetite, even after the 3 courses, sides and drinks we went to get takeaway afterwards. The restaurant had quite an extensive drink list, with a very good selection of wines, whiskies and cocktails, though it was on the expensive side - I would have like to try some of the Tasmanian single malts, but approaching $30 is a bit excessive considering some of the Lark whiskies are available at bars for less than $20. The wait staff were quite professional, and food was prompt, very good service in general. Overall, one of the better restaurants in town. I'd recommend anyone to try it, though due to the price it's not somewhere I'd eat regularly."

"This must be one of the worst games for tapas food in Australia. the place is dark and dingy. the saving gnade was our waitress. she was a nice ypung lady who best tries to stay posotive under difficult circumstances. the prawns were hard like old boots and edible. they were sent back uneaten, like other tables similar garnish dishes. we weren't charged for tgem, but someone who's worth their salt would not have pushed them away. the meat balks were soggy, but tasty, i thibk they might have been frozen. the omlete was reheated definitiw, one could tell it about the darkened edges. all in all a very common culinary experience. the obvious owner seemed to serve the müll. to be a...read more"

"So good. Visited here yesterday for the first time and it was so good. Sausage rolls were delicious and the lemon tart OMG, the best I have ever had, EVER. The waitress was spot on, friendly and attentive. The only negative was there was no uniform from what I could tell, even just an apron to tell staff apart from patrons. Other than that everything was spot on."

"The food was nice, but the customer service experience was terrible. The staff would not take a look at eye contact when I came in and stood in the middle of the restaurant for over five minutes before someone even looked at me (it's a small restaurant, so it's pretty easy to see when someone comes in, If someone comes in. Then it was taken that it takes 30 minutes, but only 50 minutes wait until the meal was ready. When meal finally came out there, I had to stand there for another five minutes, while the staff to the customers who already paid had, over, and received - again no eye contact or a recognition I stood there. After finally got a meal, realized that they had left an entree. They had their answering machine when I tried to call them to call them Let's know, and so had to return to the restaurant to complain. You definitely have to improve your customer service capabilities."
