"Couples from England, Switzerland and U.S.A. enjoyed two meals here at the start of our vacation. Host Cristiano was welcoming and friendly. He shared much about Venice, which was to be our final destination on the trip. Food was local fare, not fancy, but well prepared and tasty. Excellent Prosecco on tap!"

"We stayed here one night on AV1. The staff were incredibly welcoming and despite it not being particularly cold, they lit the wood burning stove in the evening for dinner and again for breakfast so it felt extra cosy. We had half board; dinner was excellent and huge portions (minestrone, goulash, pasta etc). Breakfast was good too muesli and bread with ham and cheese etc. The rooms were clean and modern, the beds were comfortable and we had a great night sleep. The best thing though was the staff. I left my phone charger behind. When I realised, I thought I would have to walk all the way back up, but I called first to check and without hesitation, the owner made a special trip down to Passo Duran to return it to me and asked for nothing in return. So kind of him to help me when I was so stupid!!!! Way beyond what I expected. It was such a generous act and so typical of the kindness of the staff in this rifugio. Thank you so much!"
