"This is a lovely little restaurant and the lady is so nice. Sadly I have to say my omelette was burnt !! not the usual french style light & fluffy . Great to have seating outside , to people watch etc, there are tables inside."

"We had a wonderful dinner. La Recre Gourmande’s food is elegant but somehow marvellously unstuffy. It is situated in a part of France, Perigord, that is famous for wonderful produce. Duck, nuts, truffles and cheese appear on the menu alongside burgers and chips. Inside the dining room is beautifully decorated with a long garland, glowing stove and comfortable chairs. Outside there is a terrace overlooking garden which is ideal for warmer days. The service is attentive and merry but not intrusive. It’s a delight. We’ve been coming for years."
