"I've heard good things about Oishii Ramen for a while but were a bit disappointed after our visit. The service was impeccable but the actual ramen left a lot to be desired. My tonkotsu ramen looked and smelled rather impressive when it arrived, the broth even though salty was not inedible and had an ample amount of pork bone flavour. The chashu was gelatinous and noodles were smooth. The egg was only an ordinary hard-boiled one, not gooey soft-boiled as advertised and I find the hard texture coldness of it clumsy against the delicate broth. The bits that let the ramen down the most was the overly crunchy bamboo shoots, they were way too pickley and didn't taste like they belong in the bowl, together with the rest of the ingredients. Ian also noted how salty his miso broth was and as did Y., although she didn't mind it as much because she liked how the spiciness was able to mask the saltiness. All in all you can find a good bowl of ramen here for the South of River folks but not worth the drive for us sorry."
