"This was a delightful lunch stop 30 minutes from Uxmal and overlooking the town of Ticul. We had the papadzules (tortillas filled with hard boiled eggs) as an appetizer. Then cochinita pibil (pork in a flavorful marinade) and pollo a la yucateca for our main...courses. The restaurant is open air with a great view of Ticul and the jungle. We were the only tourists surrounded by locals. The service was lovely, even though our Spanish is quite limited and the staff did not speak English. The restaurant overlooks Ticul from the south (not the north as other reviewers have suggested). As of January 2016, the Tripadvisor map is in accurate. This is located off Calle 42 to the south of Ticul (you'll see signs as you exit the town limits)."

"I was greeted with sincere smiles. I ordered the small, (chica), mushroom and cheese pizza. It arrived surprisingly quickly. It was delicious and enough for two, but I ate the whole thing. Everything about the pizza was different than what I'm used to.. very thin, crunchy crust, different flavors and textures. I washed it down with a cerveza. The doors were all open. The cool evening breeze and the sounds of the city contributed to a thoroughly enjoyable experience."
