"Great chip shop, ran very well and all ready, the price was fantastic. Chip size not according to my taste, but they are well made and some prefer a chunker chip. gravey was also fantastic. fish was nicely cooked and the broken sausage was perfectly beautiful bright coat of the teig breaks away."

"Just visited the Becketts for Sunday lunch and it was a nice environment, staff were very friendly and attentive. Both the beef and pork roasts were beautiful, good portions. Will visit again, thank you."

"Arrived and welcomed immediately and shown to our table. Order taken promptly and drinks brought to the table. Sausage and Mash and cowboy burger both delicous, hot and tasty. Renewed drinks and the two ladies that looked after us were friendly, polite and helpful. We look forward to our next trip."

"Reviewed this pub after our visit just over a year ago and gave it 5 stars. We had heard that it had changed hands and reviews seemed more mixed but we decided to ‘give it another go’. Prices have risen, which I suppose is inevitable, so ‘the lunch club deal’ of 2 courses was now £10.45 instead of £8.95. However in our opinion it still represented excellent value for money. The menu was very similar and still included the ‘old-fashioned traditional puddings’. There seemed to be a bit of difference in portion-size between the dishes our group of 4 had………everything was perfectly adequate but some plates were definitely fuller than others! Presentation of the food was perhaps a little lacking but it was well-cooked and very tasty. The place has a good country pub feel, however on this occasion it was much quieter than our previous visit despite being a similar time of year, so we guess it’s less popular."
