"After a gruelling day of travel, we were welcomed warmly to this boutique hotel. Our room faced the garden, was clean and quiet. Dinner at Restaurant Julie was very elegant with an excellent selection. The room was warm but when we needed cool, opening the window was enough to satisfy with a breeze from a nearby river. Early morning we woke to the sounds of chickens and the odd person making their way to breakfast on the creaky staircase. Breakfast was continental style with coffee, hot chocolate or hot water for tea from an automated machine. There isn't much in town to do but if you need to recharge your batteries somewhere quiet this is the place. The fitness centre features heated covered pool, hydro massage and massage as well as fitness equipment. Join the owner in the afternoon for an expresso and TV in the lounge. It was a lovely relaxing stay"

"Nous sommes des habitués de cet établissements depuis de nombreuses années.La carte est identique et les plats sont toujours qualitatifs, mais la Maison a perdu son âme!L'ancienne patronne remplissait ce restaurant de son humour et de ses éclats de rires!Aujourd'hui le lieu est aseptisé, beaucoup de personnel mais peu de vie!Une heure d'attente entre notre arrivée et le service des entrées...L'aire de jeux des enfants a été supprimée, ce qui confirme qu'on a ôté l'âme familiale de cet établissement... C'est dommage..."

"Finding the Nymphea is not easy; its tucked behind a hotel down a gravel road with only a small sign to guide you. But its certainly worth it. A large open dining room looking directly onto the river was very inviting even on a foggy day. In summer it would be fantastic. For starters we had avocado and shrimp salad; fresh and delicious. After that, the menu was very limited as they were focusing on moules which we didn't want. So there was only three choices ; one fish, one meat and one chicken. But never mind, because the fish was local sandre fresh and delicious and the entrecote was tender and perfectly a point. A sign on the wall said the tarte au pomme should be ordered at the start of the meal and I bet it was delicious but sadly we had no room for it. Friendly but unobtrusive service rounded off a perfect Sunday lunch. For those arriving by boat (which we tried and failed to do earlier in the year) be warned, the pontoon is delapidated and shallow."
