"Excellent sushi bar. My husband had their special and it was very tasty. I had the wagyu beef which was very good. Service was spotty. They seemed confused and we felt rushed. After spending close to $300 on dinner that was not ideal. Afterwards we had wished we had only gotten a couple rolls. But must give their sushi chef complements, our expensive selection was well prepared and tasty."

"I've been to Mai Sushi more times than I'd like to admit and have never been disappointed by the food. The restaurant is tucked away in a fairly nondescript area in between King's Cross and Euston station, but gets pretty crowded during Friday and Saturday nights, so do make a reservation beforehand! Like many others, my favourite dish here is the crunchy tuna roll, but their other sushi rolls are also delicious! I also like the miso grilled eggplant/aubergine and the ten don (tempura rice). "Great eating at an affordable price. on certain days, depending on the season, they can try some specials that are not on the menu that I think is really cool. the shop is very authentic, just like the in japan, very humble and relaxed. it really feels nostalgic there. the personal is super friendly, really nice service. I think it is the best they will find in london, unless they want a poor and a bein only in a chic decorated room for the same quality of the food."

"Food was awful and the owners/workers are liars. I am normally a regular who orders the same things each time so when my order came today tasting disgusting with fish that was mushy in your mouth I called to ask for a refund which they said they would submit later that night. Finding the whole situation a bit weird, I called JustEat directly to check it would be okay. They then called the restaurant who told them that they do not approve a refund under any circumstances. Upon hearing this I called the restaurant and asked why they said that after confirming to me I could have a refund. They said that they told JustEat this was fine and JustEat was processing it up to them. I relayed this information to just eat who called them again and said again they had refused the refund. This is appalling service! I was on the phone for over 40 minutes with Thames Sushi lying to my face in order to keep the money from their awful sushi. They are all liars and manipulators! They could have been honest and said I couldn’t get a refund. I even asked to speak to someone higher and they said that no one would be there until Monday, however, when JustEat called they spoke to the manager and the owner! Do not order from this restaurant!! The sushi made us feel ill"

"Actually we random searched nearby restaurant which not far from our hotel and we were lucky to get table because we didnt know that we had to book prior and we didnt expect that small restaurant offered very yummy japanese food, i loved miso soup, it was simple but the taste of soup totally different which i had before and sushi is very delicious and fresh fish."

"The reason I am giving two stars is because I like to eat here normally I live and work in the immediate area and often recommend this store to our guests and the sushi is okay, However yesterday I was greeted with hostility as I...was going to use the restroom. I was told customers are not alowed to use it I don't care then the young man continued by putting a vacuum in front of the restroom door and told me to get out. Now, let's bare in mind that do not mind having groups of customers sitting down eating in the premises so this could surely not be an issue reducing the spread of Covid? So if that is not the reason, then? I mean, no, surely not, was I racially profiled?"
