"We stayed in the Cabane the third night of our hike of the tour des Muverans. the cabane is in a very nice area, overlooking the smaller lac inferior and close to the Lac fully superior. The staff was very friendly. The auberge is obviously very well managed. Its all clean and taken care for. Sanitair is clean and relative new. We had the luxury to take a shower (charged extra but acceptable in the mountains). We slept in a dortoir of 4. The matrasses were a bit saggy, but again clean and fresh and we had a good night sleep. Diner and breakfast were good and satisfactorily."
Beyond the mountains, in Switzerland it's also about a decent and crusty portion of Rösti or a delicious fondue - with or without cheese that you can enjoy at Cabane de Sorniot, the restaurant offers but also menus from the European context. If you want to have breakfast, a tasty brunch awaits you.

"This restaurant and bar are very popular with locals. It's back in the mountains and in a pretty spot. Only the adventurous tourists find this place. All year round, the kitchen is excellent and adapts every season... according to the availability of local products and wines. The facility is operated by a local family and they are always happy to welcome guests and take time to make you home. There are many events during the year in the restaurant such as the local Olympics, music festival and Oktoberfest and of course the famous hunting season as well as as asparagus season to mention, but some of the fantastic seasonal dishes offered."

"Small and cozy. we had really lucky to get a table for two at 12:30 clock, as mentioned before they should get a reservation. also I guess we had luck with the menu (there is only one and some desserts) everything was vegan except dessert, but they offered me some vegan ice instead you can survive with English. However, not all (very friendly) waiters could speak English."
A visit to Nouvelle Terre becomes even more rewarding due to the extensive variety of coffee and tea specialties, the restaurant provides however also dishes typical for Europe.
