"This is a very special restaurant and I can't rate it high enough. the service is simply excellent. I ordered the nice tempura with the Vegan battery. the chef came to deliver our food, and I asked him if the tempura sauce on the theke was vegan and explained it was not, but he just went into the kitchen and made me some vegan tempura sauce from scratch free! he recommend some other vegan seasonal vegetable options he had for which I decided to go. after that he asked me some questions about how veganism would increase and what vegans would really like to see on a menu. he really seemed like he would like to get on the market and offer vegans more! he was great for the information and gave me and my girlfriend a free service of amasake everyone! sweet creamy rice wine the gastfreundschaft was so good and the food was so tasty that we also retreated to dinner the next day. he seemed to see us again and after our meal he gave us another free service of some special nihonshu Japanese rice wine sake and also sour plum tempura! we were so happy to receive such a generous treatment that we could not believe it! I have never received such good hospitality in a restaurant before it really set the bar and I cannot recommend it enough. eating is so delicious and rice, soba and suppen are all they can eat. here is the sky of vegan tempura! what a great place. they even cook the vegan tempura in a separate kitchen. A pity that I can give it only 4 stars as it deserves 10!"

"Great place to get an evening meal when they stay close to the lake. super beautiful family located in the local izakaya. they have no menu so they only get what they get because standard is omakase, or they can request dinge. very good food, and they even drove us back to the hotel! friendly and secret atmosphere. be ready to chat with the owner; not a great place for shy people."

"It looks like someone's house but with a couple of flags out front. Upon opening the door we were greeted by a lovely lady who sat us down and handed us menus and showed us the recommendations. Shrimp or chicken tempura, we had the chicken and it was amazing. With hot sake was only 2700 yen for two. Hidden little gem!"

"If they are at the lake kawaguchi (near mt fuji), then they must visit high spirits izakaya! a small inconceivable izakaya, high spirits has a cozy ambiente, fun and passionate staff (and great service,) beautiful and ingenious delicious food, all combined to them the perfect relaxed local izakaya vibes! we had the fresh sashimi, bark steak, bark meat Japanese radishes, grilled otopus, sawn sauce seafood with baguette slices. and the list goes on. you get the drift!"

"Vegan noodles are on the first page of the menu, they were super tasty and perfect shared between two. We also shared the inari and pickled veges, all for ¥2000 which was good value. Had tatami mats and Western tables, we asked to sit at the tatami mats. 100% recommend especially on a cold evening."
