"Had a lovely meal here with friends on a warm and sunny Tuesday evening. We sat outside and had a drink to start with and I noticed that there are several lots of outdoor seating located to the sides and rear of the building. Our friends were staying overnight and mentioned they had a very pleasant room although it overlooked the car park. The hotel is situated opposite a junction that seemed quite busy when we arrived (6pm). We all had burgers for our evening meal. They were served with a choice of two sides, although there was so much food we struggled to eat it all nice burgers though! Unusually they were served on a 3 tier stand. There is a good sized car park at the side and this was around half full and there was a function going on while we were there. This is also a dog friendly pub and our puppy sat with us in the bar and garden. Definitely worth a visit."

"Saturday night Chinese meal food good but several larger groups turned up who hadn't prebooked but we're catered for, putting pressure on staff. Also problem with online booking which goes through to sister restaurant in Belper who sometimes forget to let the oriental palace know. Staff helpful and pleasant despite additional demand. Good value and freshly cooked. Best to book direct."

"Booked online, really like that feature. This is not a large restaurant, but was full on the Saturday evening that we visited. Probably accommodates diners, no it is not noisy. I liked this restaurant for it's modern décor with a clean feel. Some restaurants...that provide take-away service can be intrusive but the design and layout keep the two as separate as possible. The food was excellent, served hot and fresh and not swimming in oil. Prices are above average for the area. No issues with parking. Bring your own alcohol"

"Tonight for a family dinner. it was our first visit to the bluebell and we really had a nice evening. the dining room was comfortable with a good atmosphere. eating is amazing and cheap. the service was so good, all employees extremely pleasant and helpful. we all had a great night and agreed that we would definitely return."
