"Such a let down. The ambience was fabulous, the setting outside was beautiful in the sun, a busker playing acoustic guitar, we honestly thought it couldn't get better as the place was quite busy.<br>
We ordered the bacon and eggs benedict for $14.90, cafe latte, hot chocolate and pancakes with caramelised banana and maple syrup $17.90 (charged an extra $5 for a scoop of ice cream and cream). The E&B benny appeared on a very small slice of sourdough with a small piece of bacon and 2 very small poached eggs. The hollandaise was a very peculiar runny frothy milky liquid which was entirely reminiscent of not Hollandaise.. The pancakes...well devo. When paying $18 for pancakes you expect homemade, fluffy cakes of goodness right? Not Tip Top, straight out of a packet from Woolworth's, cheap and nasty. "Pulp did not live up to the expectations set by the other reviews here. The price/performance was terrible; this place would get crucified in Melbourne. The steak and chips was ridiculously overpriced - 80% of the plate was cover in fries that may or may not have been McCains fries (embarrassing if restaurant-made). The tagliatelle was amazing in the sense that every ingredient was cooked to perfection but somehow the overall result had zero flavour. Still, dessert was excellent as were the staff who looked after us (hence the 3/5). Ultimately, I won't go back."

"On the recommendation of a friend we dropped in for lunch and what a pleasant surprise. The food is traditional French but with a modern twist. All dishes exuded flavour without being overbearing. The service was excellent and the price exceedingly reasonable compared to some bigger name Canberra eateries. We'll be back with others to try the 5 course degustation.....can't wait."

"Imagine the best roast pork with crackling and gravy that you've ever had at home or at your mums or nans and you've talked about it for weeks and you're always asking them to make it again? Well if you get the urge and they're not up for making it right now or you don't have time to wait 4 hours while it slow roasts then get yourself over to Pialligo and have a pork, crackling and gravy roll.
