"My husband and myself eat at this hotel regularly when staying in nearby Rohan. We usually have the set menu dinner which offers excellent value for money and is great for diners on a tight budget. There's no choice but for around 12 euros from Monday to Thursday you get four (yes four) courses except on the night they serve Couscous which is delicious and filling so you don't get a starter. The house wine is six euros a bottle (that's a full bottle not a demi carafe) and there's cheese and dessert to follow the main course. Ok, this is not haut cuisine; it is simple, fare and the a la carte menu is available if you want something different. The plateau de fruit de mer on the a la carte is a definite for seafood lovers. The restaurant itself is large and lacks atmosphere in the evening because there are few diners. Staff have limited English so don't expect to have the menu translated for you. You should get out the door with a bill around 36 euros including apertifs and coffee. It's not Michelin standard and not Michelin price, just straightforward grub at a fair price."

In addition, when I took the order, I had asked for potatoes in the oven initially and found me with fries that I had therefore returned. At the end, the waitress who, in view of the remarks that we exchanged during our meal, asked if everything had gone well, doubting that not. So we went to the counter to settle our consumption and expressed our discontent while remaining cordial with the waitress, stating that our remarks were for a constructive and non-destructive purpose And we only had in return an inappropriate nonchalance in the area of restoration, telling us that we had only to go to the chief by denying our remarks or even laughing. I don't think this behavior is adapted when we are in contact with customers and who the more we were very familiar with the world of restoration. And cherry on the cake an error during the payment, we were counted an extra cover and initially had no invoice that we had to claim. As a result, when the error of payment was found, the waitress continued in its retorted launch instead of making head bass that “it never happens to you to make mistakes.” I don't know."

"We arrived here on a scenic drive from Plumelec for a Sunday lunch in this idyllic rural spot. The restaurant is surrounded by a beautiful garden complete with old cider press, children's play area and large marquee where families with youngsters were dining semi- alfresco. We ate inside in the delightful rustic setting with exposed stone adding to the ambience. We ordered from the Menu Fixe at 18euros : Three of us started with soup-Crème de petit pois glace au Saumon fume whilst I enjoyed the melon with bayonne ham. For mains, three had Piece de bucher - a cut of steak in a sort of rolled rectangle not often found in the UK whilst I had the Retour de Peche ,delicious white fish although despite best efforts was unable to define the variety conclusively; codlike possibly best way to describe it. For puddings crème brulee, my favourite whilst the others had ice cream or retour de peche. We shared a carafe of red, surprisingly good which tasted like a basic but well rounded fruity claret whilst our friend's lady had her usual Kir-Breton ,and my wife a soft drink. Coffees for three- I passed- completed proceedings. We were well served with great aimability by the charming Amelie as Chef de cuisine and husband Pascal front of house. A delightful experience and extremely reasonable at 90euros before well deserved service."
