"Went into Fosters for a quick tea after a very busy day. It was roughly 8.30pm. Closes at 9. Now I completely understand that at that time of night they will be winding down, cleaning etc. Fryers may be turned off etc etc. Maybe a limited selection. I understand. I work in hospitality I get it. But at least acknowledge the customer when they walk in. Don't make it obvious that cleaning is more important than a customer standing there. If you are going to serve food until 9 make sure at least the staff explain if its limited. This isn't the first time I have been disappointed just felt compelled to air my view on this occasion. Its a shame. The only chippy in the centre of Bramhall."

"We have been many times before and as my youngest son later commented this was by far the worst experience we have had here. We were a party of 7 celebrating my wife's birthday (later grudgingly acknowledged with a complimentary glass of wine . In no particular order rude, unsmiling, disinterested waitress (the manageress said she was one of their top performers! . Indifferent food quality £31.50 for a shared mixed hanging kebab with cold prawns (we didn't risk sending them back to be re heated, or worse.... and bullet like lamb koftas. Food, cutlery, serviettes carelessly dispatched on the table (iphones are expensive you know! a card machine thrust into my face with me having to extract a please before I paid, and oh yes, a 10% service charge automatically added to the bill (we were too beaten to argue the toss by that stage . We were offered 20% off our next visit, but why would we want to go again? Let's face it, there are other places in Alderley Edge."

"Eaten here a few times and it just seems to even better. Seen a review saying this could be the best Middle Eastern restaurant in South Manchester and I wouldn’t disagree. The food is exemplary, staff are nice and depending when you go it varies from chilled quieter in the week to busy at weekends. It’s BYO drinks so if you’ve arrived not realising you can nip round the corner to Sainsbury’s local which is a few metres away. Food pics may not do it justice but it’s a classic meze choice of starters from humous dips, breads, baba ghanoush etc, mains are a great selection and desserts are classic Middle Eastern home cooked, the baklava is highly recommended. Vegetarian options: Plenty to choose from fully vegan to traditional vegetarian dishes. It’s a great choice for mixed groups. Parking: The paid parking at Village Square and Meadway are both less than a 100m away with loads of spaces and app parking (Ringo app) or coins, and only about 30p an hour. Don’t risk parking in unpaid spots or businesses as it upsets locals and you risk a fine as PCN are highly active with bramhall being a relatively compact village centre. Kid-friendliness: Very family friendly place albeit kids obviously need to like Middle Eastern food or be open minded. That said chicken skewers and rice is universally popular."
