"Took my family here when they came to visit me out at Orange. I heard it was a really nice place, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The place was out in the vineyards, giving a beautiful view, and the interior of the restaurant was very well presented. The food was also very very good!!"

"Written by forfoodssake vanessa: for those of you who read my previous contribution, weekend in orange, partly 1 I am sure that they have the meaning that we have for a fully blown food comea...and they would be right! from where we went out after an unforgettable meal in lolli redini, we had a agenda on Saturday to meet the weeping ways. orange is known for its picturesque vineyards and red varieties that we would discover more of this day. the wineries are quite close to each other, making the “booze cruise” quite easy. our first station was at philip shaw wines, with its very inviting cellar door. we were quickly greeted by a coworker who took a place for us and then taken over a tasting menu. my first thought was that this would be another experience that I had previously weinprobe in the hunter valley, where we often visit. we were taken by 3 or 4 species of red and white varieties and received a detailed overview of each wine. it was a really relaxed experience and we went with a few frechen bottles of what I think is my new favorite drop (the wire walker pinot noir 2013) and hit the road for our next stop a short trip on the autumn tree road. ross hill wines is a beautiful winery located between the grape varieties and surrounded by apple gardens."

"We visited twice, 18 months apart, and both of us saw this weingut as reminding of the trip. the opportunity to sit behind the huge glass windows, and to see how the light begins to fade over the valley is great. And add a beautiful glass or two wein, and a cheeseboard, and it was a truly unforgettable moment. don't get in, make a wine tasting and throw out. it is best appreciated slowly. next time we plan to book before lunch and appreciate the fine cooking art, write about the others"
