"I now have dinner at Le St Martin at least once a week (some weeks when I'm particularly lucky, even more!) and as a food and wine lover with high standards, I am never disappointed. The young chef, Luc Ory, consistently comes up with exciting new ideas for his reasonably priced menus (27 or 34 euros) all of which are perfectly executed and beautifully presented, using seasonal, primarily locally sourced produce. The wine list continues to expand, featuring wonderful selections from the nearby Maconnais, Beaujolais and Chalonnais vineyards (many of which are organic). I love coming here knowing that everything is housemade and all the ingredients are carefully selected by the chef himself at local markets. Luc has perfected two of my favourites (scallops and veal sweetbreads) to the point where I am disappointed whenever I get them elsewhere, so I have quit ordering them anywhere but Le St Martin. I do recommend going in the off-season or the shoulder seasons, because that is when he is at his best, before the summer crowds arrive and overwhelm us all."

"While only staying for one night two rooms, we fully enjoyed the best of what this simple yet timeless hilltop hotel has to offer: breathtaking views, absolute relaxation, spacious grounds, chilled ambiance, welcoming Team, nice pool, comfortable rooms (air conditioning, balcony, bedding, shower, wifi) we unfortunately did not have the opportunity to dine at their restaurant as we had an offsite commitment, however the outdoor terrace was beautifully set and the menu looked tantalizing. A very pleasant experience!"
