"A lovely spot. Calm serenity in a tiny village surrounded by vineyards off the Route Grands Cru Staff attentive and efficient Property feels recently refurbished and clean stone work recently reappointed and beautiful in the common parts there are parts that are too modern...for my taste The terrace is lovely and well landscaped and lovely at night! The pool is quite small and looks into the carpark .. you can’t chill out there for more then an hour kids are welcome for about 5 mins.. Rooms are stylish and freshly done our bathroom was new, with a big window, lots of light and white stone a pleasure The rooms had the exposed pale brick on the windows wall windows were large with old shutters Really pretty without feeling too old and tired The beds and linen were very comfortable we slept incredibly well (room 4) The breakfast was excellent finest scrambled eggs, delicious bread and local jams The kitchens looked immaculate and extensive houses in a modern extension We didn’t dine as we went into Beaune, but the food at The Castel looked extremely high quality produce we had wonderful olives and charcuterie with a glass of wine before going to Beaune (25 minute drive) it felt slightly too grown up for our boys (aged 13 10)"

"Not interested in a large meal one night in Gevrey, I was relegated to this local spot. Salads to accompany pizza, which is trumpeted outside the dive, are not available at dinner time, for some strange reason. The pizza was barely serviceable, seemed prepared partially...in advance, as the red sauce underlying the mozzarella was congealed and tacky. Definitely a place to avoid."
