"We called around 13:30 to see whether we can sit outside for lunch as we were walking the dogs, and the manager kindly suggested he could put a table outside for us, which we definitely give 5 stars for. The gentleman who took the order was rude as when I asked how is the king prawn, garlic and chili on the special menu is cooked, he answered exactly like it was written .... Brilliant answer right? Not so brilliant for a customer trying to decide what to order as there are similar dishes on the standard and special menu so would like to know the difference .... He was impatient regards to any questions we had.1 star on that. The lady who brought the food was friendly and even prepared water for our dogs, 5 stars for her. Food was tasty (Pork in the special menu, and pasta with prawn, garlic and chili on the standard menu) and would try other food on the menu if we come back to this area. But hopefully we don 't get the same guy to take the order."

"Food looked excellent, batter on the fish is the best, crispy, not greasy, and not too thick. Usually the fish is perfect but today was slightly undercooked was still translucent on one side of the fillet. Lemon tea cake was nice, but did not get mascarpone whipped cream came with ice cream. Also not many berries and very small slice. It was a bank holiday and had not booked, surprised to get a table after only a short wait, and they were very busy."

"I've eaten here a few times but wouldn't return, I'm very reluctant to give negative reviews but we found the majority of staff rude and unhelpful. We were early for our meal and stood at were told to go the bar but were ignored by the bar staff. Then when we were seated the wrong drink was dropped down to the table although it was our second round of the same drinks. I told the male server on Saturday night and he just replied well that's what I was given from the bar (rudely) and walked off. The restaurant wasn't busy and he just proceeded to ignore the table for the rest of our meal. Such a shame as the food is always lovely."

"I hadn’t been to Eddie Rocket’s for a while but tried this branch and found the food excellent. Fresh, tasty, good service great chips. Not sure why it is prepaid but I would say it’s more because of people being untrustworthy than anything else. Excellent and I will be back."
