"My husband and I were in Rota visiting Spanish friends that we had not seen for years. They selected the restaurant and chose one tapa after another with the suggestions of the waiter taken into account. We lived in Spain for 5 years ending in...2002, and never did we have a meal as wonderful as this recent one at La Brisa. The seafood fritas melted in your mouth, the artichokes with pepitas were sharp and tasty, the green salad with shrimp was a light interlude. The main course (for lack of a better description) of cod fish baked under a rich custard like cheesy blanket was just luscious. There were other delicious plates as well. I have always lived on the coast eating seafood all my life, and that was some of the best I have tasted. It was all washed down with excellent wines, especially the Barbadillo which I have missed since we left Spain. I am sorry that I can't be more specific about dish names or prices because I never saw a menu. Our delightful friends took control of the ordering, etc. I thank them for a great meal and lovely evening out at La Brisa."
