"The food is nowhere near as good as it used to be. Either a different kitchen team, or they 've lost their passion. Prices ramped up about as far as they dare go, and even the Carrot cake was a bit dried up. Sticky tables and mediocre service, has turned an 'old favorite ' into a 'drive on by '. A real shame."

"Its a cheap and cheerful, Lively family pub with a good atmos that serves pretty good pub grub. The food is a little hit n miss but on a good night its good, even great for what you pay. If you want to go out for tea Darlys is perfect. If you wat to go out for a romantic ala-carte meal try somewhere else. As for the staff, a friendly happy bunch who I have never had any complaints about. It is what it is and does not preted to be anything else. Edit: Been twice since my first review and both times were just awfull. Staff were great but the chef has no idea what rare steak is. Last two times burnt. Its only steak and chips, if you cant get that right get back to washing pots. That is when your not stood outside smoking a fag. He was stood there when I arrived and was out there when we left. Wont be going back."
