"Mitten im Stadtzentrum an der Hauptstrasse befindet sich das Café und Bistro Magnus. In der Tat ist die Gaststätte sowohl Bistro als auch Café. Die Gaststätte befindet sich auf zwei Ebenen. Am Eingang ist die Theke mit der Kuchenausstellung und einigen wenigen Tischen. Auf einer höheren Ebene stehen Tische für weit mehr Personen, die etwas länger verweilen wollen. Alles ist nach dem Stil eines französischen Bistros ausgestattet und es ergibt sich hierdurch eine warme und angenehme Atmosphäre. Vom Frühjahr bis in den Herbst hinein kann man auf der großen Außenterrasse sitzen und von hier aus (man sitzt etwa einen Meter über der Straße) das ganze Leben in der Fußgängerzone von Marsberg beobachten. Mittags gibt es eine Auswahl von Bistrogerichten wie Salaten, Baguettes und Toasts. Attraktiv finde ich vor allem das täglich wechselnde Tagesgericht mit zwei Gängen d.h. ein Hauptgericht mit Vorspeise oder Nachtisch. Dieses gute frische und auch reichliche Essen kostet im Schnitt weniger als zehn Euro, was bei dieser Qualität und Umgebung ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis darstellt. Interessant ist auch der Sonntagsbrunch. Eigentlich sollte man sich den Kuchen nicht nach dem Mittagessen sondern erst am Nachmittag gönnen. Die hausgemachten Torten sind ausgesprochen lecker und sind eine wahre Augenweide. Als Bistro aber insbesondere als Café ist das Magnus eine echte Bereicherung für Marsberg. Mittwochs bleibt das Magnus leider geschlossen und auch in der Zeit des Allerheiligenmarktes in Marsberg (dann kommen die Bewohner der umliegenden Dörfer zum Einkauf) war das Restaurant wegen Betriebsferien geschlossen."
