"I googled Steak n Shake to place a pickup order at the location closest to the store I was running into so I could pickup my order on my way home. By clicking on the Google link that came up first I was directed to the online ordering menu that indicated it was linked to Postmates for delivery. I did not think my pickup order would go through Postmates but it did. I thought the prices were kind of high but I figured it was due to the current general inflation and the lingering Covid related supply issues.Today I was curious about this thinking I made a mistake but the Google link still directs you to delivery companies even for pick up. I then found and clicked on the SnS website and checked the menu prices available for pickup and they were substantially lower!This seems like a bait and switch scam allowed by Google."

"We've been here many times but not since the pandemic started until today. They did great through the first two years of the pandemic with takeout orders but we thought it was time to dine in again especially since our 4-year old was too young to remember coming here pre-COVID. We had an absolutely wonderful time and the staff was welcoming and the food was great. Sachelle was a great server and Anthony made and delivered our dessert with care. I know the kids will be begging to come back soon!"

"Today I wasn’t feeling well and decided to get soup half hour before their closing time at this location. I didn’t know this but the manager was taking my order at the drive thru, her name is MARI, incredibly sweet person. She guided me through the menu as a vegetarian even if I had been to Panera many times their menus change, I told her I was not feeling well and she was super sweet and kind. These guys have the best customer service of ANY Panera bread location and super sweet employees. The lady at the window Abbey was so sweet and kind. I was feeling super sick and wanted my tomato soup, I forgot my wallet at home in a hurry and these guys took care of me without me asking them for anything. I was shocked at how kind and sweet they are. You don’t expect this from a semi-fast food place. Their kindness turned my not so good night into one filled with gratitude. There are good people still left! This is the best location hands down! Thanks MARI AND ABBEY best customer service ever!"

"I've been missing this place so much and one week ago marked the first time in maybe 3 years I've had a PS sub since the only 2 locations (Grayslake and Gurnee) in Lake County closed around that time. The 33 mile haul south was well worth the drive from my house in Beach Park but I just happened to be in the area so I knew I had to stop in for lunch. Excellent quality delicious subs accompanied by awesome fresh cut fries and bolstered by top notch customer service. Venue is kept clean/sanitized as well. Among sub sandwich competitors, for me Penn Station is tops over Subway, Firehouse, Jersey Mike's, Cousins, Quiznos, Potbelly and Jimmy John's. These subs are too good to pass up and if you've never eaten here before then what are you waiting for?"
