"Given its location, that is, slap bang on the beach and with no competition they would not have to try too hard to be packed out every day. In fact, we had some excellent squid and octopus plus the ubiquitous canary style potatoes. Despite it’s...informal setting it is in fact a very well organised operation with prompt service but which remembers to smile. Very good."

"One of the few restaurants that has remained unchanged in management throughout the last three years. It has always been one of the best German restaurants and if anything it has improved. Matthias is such a jolly host, it is infectious. We eat here twice, The first time we had the shared platter as a starter, too much, but delicious. For mains we took rabbit and roast lamb shoulder, with a tasty Krautsalat. On our last night we pre--ordered the roast kid, which didn't need a starter, as it was huge. We took it with two different side salads to share and saute potatoes green beans with bacon. It is not cheap, at Euro 85 for the kid meal for two,"

"Stumbled upon this place literally after a few drinks in the sports bar opposite. We both had the set menu which is just under euros. We had garlic bread to start, half chicken chips followed by ice cream and alcoholic drinks all...for under euros! Too be honest we weren't expecting much as it's so cheap but it was absolutely lovely, I'd definitely recommend!"

"Stopped for lunch and had had a surfeit of seafood and fish over the last 10 days so chose pizza all four of us agreed our pizzas were the best ever! Freshly cooked and flavoursome. At the end we received a red rose each and a small glass of liqueur. Certainly the place to stop going through Antigua."
