The food was from a decent standard so it deserves a visit when you are in Western Madeira (which is usually not very veggie-friendly). "Staying as an all inclusive guest in the Savoy Calheta we ventured into its affiliated hotel a bit further down the beach and described that the menu and setting looked like a place to spend a last family meal in Madeira. (If you are staying in the Savoy Calheta speak with reception to receive a per person discount on a reservation The experience started from arrival at our table (far too early as normal where the waiters were accommodating and treated us as though we had been staying and eating with them for the entire holiday. Attentive service from start to finish with full fine dining experience for the price of a good Indian restaurant in the UK and amazing quality from start to finish. The biggest critics are always children and our 12 year olds eyes lit up like Christmas on trying his first tiger prawn as a starter (they hung over both sides of the plate! thinking this wouldn’t and couldn’t be surpassed we were staggered when given a choice between the tiger prawns and veal which he had chosen for his his main (the veal had another tiger prawn included! he said without a moments hesitation that he would have go for the veal as his favourite, 2 hours as a family meal enjoying amazing food and talking without a single moments though about technology made for an amazing end to a great holiday."

"Amazing food, Customer service and very economic. We had been to many times in Madeira but this is our first time in and the best food I ever had, I order seafood mix and it was fantastic amazing presentation and delicious, my husband had the...plate of the day it was Brest chicken with prosciutto salad and chips that included a soft drink and coffee and my Daughter had steak salad and chips the attention was excellent and spectacular presentation and taste. I try to many restaurants in Madeira but today I try in As fontes the Horacio and this is the best restaurant I have ever try every Dish is amazing"
