"We had been told by some locals this was a good place for lunch and the setting on the beach is certainly delightful. Sadly our meal in the evening was one of the worst we have ever had in Italy and we have had a lot! It was unfortunate that we were treating friends to a night out otherwise we could have raised the issues with the management at the time. The mussels ordered with the pasta were revolting a really strange and unpleasant consistency that we have never encountered before. They must have been frozen as there were at least 5 times as many mussels as shells on the dish! What a crime when the restaurant is right on the sea. The roast potatoes that arrived with the disappointing main courses were inedible. They were obviously left over from the lunch time service hard and barely warm. The tired salad that was served with my expensive prawns was so unappetizing that I could not face trying to liven it up with the SPRAY olive oil and SPRAY vinegar that was provided on our table! This is a region that produces the most wonderful olive oil there is absolutely no excuse for serving this mass produced substitute. If the surly waiter had asked us if there was a problem when we sent the mussels, potatoes and salad back we would have said something but we were reluctant to add to the disappointment of the evening by making a fuss in front of our friends. Perhaps the restaurant does not value customers who are seemingly not local and maybe it is is better at lunch time but wherever you are from I would certainly give it a miss in the evening."
