"We went for dinner on Sept 5th, because the restaurant had a Cuban evening with a live band.when we reserved, we were told, that we would probably eat inside, as the weather had turned a bit cold, so we dressed for inside. To our surprise, we were sat outside, in 15 degrees and wind!! Lukily we live closeby, so we could go home for jackets, scarfs etc.we ordered our menus and waited a long time to be served, by the only waitress in sight ( for about 10 tables)our friends joined us a half hour into our meal, ordered and waited over an hour for their meal.................no excuse from the waitress, just: it's not my fault, but the kitchen's!it could have been a really good evening, as the music was fantastic and the food was good, but is was marred by slow service from the kitchen.better luck next time."

"We were here for Christmas. Live music, wine and delicious food. very pleasant atmosphere. for children there is only one game device. There was a pretty jam. There were toilets for each one, so you don't have to go to the toilet."

"Disappointed. We pay the flavour of the menu with our stay at the hotel campsite. Unfortunately, with a reservation at 8:30 p.m., no order was made until 9:15 p.m. on the first night and, afternoon, on the second night, our order was only taken at 9:05 p.m. Apologies invoked by staff (which is undoubtedly for nothing): The chef is alone in the kitchen tonight. So we can't take your orders and you have to wait. We therefore sit wisely, without further explanation. A lot of misunderstanding and waiting for our holiday dinners. One question: What is your way of managing human resources to find you to a person in the kitchen for a restaurant with 25 tables, on two nights near 15 August? We will not blame the restaurant staff who seems to do its best, but we remain very surprised and disappointed in this situation. The dishes are uneven. Some are good others clearly unbalanced, but probably waiting spoils the experience. True to the slogan of the establishment Let's take time to live."

"We booked this restaurant several days in advance because of its location and general good reviews. We were slightly disappointed to have been allocated a table with benches rather than chairs well out in the square but not a big deal, at first. Maitre d' was a blond girl who wasn't very welcoming, clearly full of her own importance and who spent most of the night doing very little except for saying how busy they were and studying her clipboard. However the waiter made up for her, was very helpful and patiently explained the dishes in French and English for us. Food was a little slow arriving but it was worth waiting for, all eight of us were happy with our food. We tried twice to order more drinks to have with our food but were told how busy they were by the maitre d', who then went back to looking at her clip board and doing nothing. Eventually the waiter came back and efficiently took a drinks order and they came quickly.All was fine until toward the end of our meal the starlings (birds) started to mass in the square, roost in the trees above and "deposit" on the table, plates and us. We went to the maitre d' and asked for the bill, no bill arrived so we asked again after about 5 minutes as we were being deposited upon by the birds only to be told by the maitre d' that they were busy. At this point I lost it and went to the till and demanded to pay. The waiter brought in the chef/owner who was very apologetic and offered to take off some of the bill. I said that this wasn't necessary but he insisted and gave me a presentation pack of biscuits as well.Overall I would still recommend this restaurant because of the food quality, waiter and approach of the chef/owner - just make sure that you get a table with an umbrella above it if you are going to eat here at dusk. My only real complaint is being allocated a bench table out in the square with no cover, when we booked this restaurant well in advance and clearly they knew that there was going to be an issue with the birds (there is a siren bird scarer which goes off periodically but the only effect that this seems to have is to make them take flight for a short period and frighten them into making more "deposits" on the square below!). Maitre d' needs a good talking to about what her job is but the restaurant could function very well without her as the waiters and waitresses actually seemed quite efficient, perhaps they just needed one or two more on such a busy night.Good restaurant, don't let my little rant put you off - great waiter and chef/owner saved the day and food was great for the money."
