"Stuck between giving 3 and 4 stars. Staff are all learning so you need to take that into account. Food good but my avocado was brick hard. For £8 for 3 courses, cannot complain. Will return."

"Booked a birthday meal here for 2 people at 8pm on Saturday. We were left seated in the waiting area for an hour before we were taken to our table at 9pm, staff didn't explain why were were seated so late. When the food did come out it was a case of style over substance, a note to the chef if you are going to try and make your food look fancy at least make sure it tastes good first. The food served to us was cold, tasteless and utterly disappointing. They are trying to be too big for their boots, I would've rather had a simple dish that tasted great than something that looked great but lacked in everything else. AVOID. I will never return here."

"Very interesting and nice restaurant. Made reservations at the last minute. Very clean. Seated on the second floor with a night view of the river. Service was very good. Two of us ordered the oven roasted rump of lamb which was outstanding. Another had venison which also was outstanding and the 4th had the fish, again excellent. A very nice place for dinner and definitely would go back next time I am in Inverness"

"Father in laws birthday meal. The food was on point and he seemed very pleased with his fish and chips. Managed three courses and that’s rare for this pensioner. My starter was very late hence the four star review but we were all pleased with the rest of the service and the food."

"We (3 dropped in to this restaurant shortly before 7.30 pm on a Monday night; we had not made a reservation. The manager said it would be 30 45 minutes before we could be served. We were prepared to wait and he gave us a menu. Shortly afterwards he suggested we have a drink while we waited, so we did. After a while, I went to him to tell him which mains we would like. He said it would be better to wait until they were ready to serve us another 5 minutes . I persuaded him to take note of our choices. Time passed....I wondered if we should try somewhere else, but one of our party is not very mobile, and we don 't know Inverness. A group of 5 or 6 men seemed to be waiting for their meals on the same basis. At 8.55 pm , an hour and a half after we first entered, our food arrived. The waitress apologised for the delay (the longest I have ever experienced in any eatery! . The manager also apologised, but said he did warn us there would be a delay. I suggested that he could have been more honest there 's a big difference between waiting 30 45 minutes and 90 minutes. Perhaps out of embarrassment, he deducted the price of one main course from the bill. We didn 't have any enthusiasm for more than one course. Rating: 2/5 We did get an apology, and the main ingredient in our meal was hot and well cooked, though the accompanying ingredients were rather miserly."

"We booked into the corriegarth for a 50th lunch early dinner . What a fabulous place great service , food was amazing and staff very helpful , it was nicely decorated and perfect location for us with only a short walk into town ."

"Have stayed several times which must say something! The staff are really welcoming and friendly. Rooms have everything you need, are very comfortable and clean. The beds and linen are excellent quality ensuring a fab night's sleep. Breakfast in the main hotel is buffet style but the food was all lovely and fresh and not at all dried out. What's not to like?"
