"The gas house “Green Tree” on the southern edge of the wörlitzer parks Ostsachsen-Anhalt 90 km southwest of berlin 15 east of dessau) is what you can call a traditional house in the best sense of the word. at least since the 1st half of the 18th for centuries it is occupied as the oldest guest house by wörlitz. since 1757, it has been in family ownership and has been run privately for over 250 years, as the homepage knows to log in. Today the “green tree” houses several gastronomic facilities: the closed restaurant, the fireplace, the green salon, the ritter claw and the ice cream café and the garden. above one of the entrance doors on the new wall stands a freshly restored coat of arms that the “Green Tree” is a “Hofsupplier der waldfranzösischen w. Anhalt-Dessau” of only that prinzen and duke leopold iii. friedrich franz w. Anhalt-Dessau 1740-1817 reg. from 1758). since the end of the working and building state, the “green tree” is again decorated with the title “Ehemaliger hofversorgungant”, which conveys the closed restaurant, as the name says, the impression of high gastronomy. since here at our visit all the places of 2 companies were occupied, we were asked to the adjacent fireplace room. the rather small space – a space only – is cozy, the equipment and deko conveys a hauch of great beauty. the service was very friendly, attentive and friendly. for our four-legged companion who was welcome in the house was offered for refreshment water. the map contains only a few dishes of the regional and good-bourgeois German cuisine in the middle price segment, extended by seasonal offers. also the “green tree” advertises in front of the house and on the website with cheap daily meals under 10 €uro. I decided to klop with salt potatoes and raw food salad for 9,80 €uro, my companion for the season offer carving with stone mushrooms and kartoffels for 16,90 €uro. the waiting time moved in the normal frame. the portions were sufficiently large – we have become rich and also tasted it. To be honest, however, I must mention that in the following hours the mushroom dish has proved to be somewhat uncomfortable and Saxony-Anhalt did not want to leave. about why and why can and do I don't speculate and therefore do not take a star out. there is a star to go for toilets that are spacious and clean, but not in the house, but over the courtyard in a sanitary building.
