"Love this place. They serve delicious sandwiches. I particularly love their chicken salad sandwich in Portuguese bun. Breads are fresh and soft. Another favourite of mine is custard tarts and custard donuts. There is a queue here most of the time but service is quick."

"Thank you for a great meal. We had a group of for dinner and we all enjoyed our meals. Schnitzel was excellent. Service was awesome and very reasonable price."

"3 friends and I ate here before the Jan Arden concert. Good food was eaten by all. I had the Hungarian Goulash. It didn't disappoint with melt in your mouth meat and great taste. Two friends had different schnitzels and both reported they were great. One friend had pirogies with bacon and onions. Love it. Before the main meal two of us had nice crisp salad items from the small choice salad bar and the other two the creamy vegetable soup also enjoyed it. No deserts. The meal was timely and the service good. It is a small restaurant I would recommend you make a reservations"

"It used to be a great place for a schnitzel!! But last time we were there with my husband (March 3. 2017), the schnitzel was very dry, probably reheated in the microwave! They did not have mashed potatoes; actually they did have them, but the waitress told us not to get them because the were lumpy! So I went for French fries (which I never eat) and my husband had their home fries, and they were way too greasy; one reason I did not order them this time (from my previous experience) We had the special with the Czech beer for $ 19.99/person!! It was around 3:00 pm, mind you, so not at lunch time. The beer was the best part of the meal! I had a Cesar salad which was nothing to write home about! No garlic, no taste. My husband had a potato soup with pickles!? But the size of the soup bowl was no bigger than my palm and I have very small hands! He said the soup was OK, but I tasted it and never would cook it at home, even though it's supposed to be a Czech recipe! It used to be a very good restaurant when they had a Czech, or German owners, but I do not think we will go there now, even when starving! After all we can get good Czech beer in the beer store and I can cook much better than that!!"

"When we moved to the area recently the charcoal and spices aroma draws you in from a block away. We are not Portuguese and on a cold holiday morning my wife and I, out for a long walk, peered through the glass door and the owners opened up to us to answer our questions. They were preparing for a catering event. The hospitality sold us. We went back through the week, now a few times, and took out to eat a home their whole chicken and roasted potatoes. No more Swiss Chalet for us. They sell baked goods as well. That's next."
In nice weather you can even eat in the outdoor area, and there is no-charge WLAN.
