"By chance (we were recommended to his adjacent tapas restaurant) we started up a conversation with Jaume to discover his degustation secret next door...we booked for the following night notice essential). We left it to Jaume to assemble what turned out to be one...of the best eating (and drinking) experiences that we have ever had (vs NY, UK, Barcelona, Melbourne, Sydney, Rome, Zurich, etc etc). Jaume combined taste, texture and presentation to deliver course after course, complimented by his wines. Jaume's daughter was equally delightful. We came away having shared an evening with a wonderful cook who expressed himself and his life through his food and the pleasure that he so obviously took from delighting others. His creativity and freedom is expressed in the food. Thank you. ...having subsequently read a number of reviews on TA, I disagree with comments re price..at for the two of us, value beyond belief."
The restaurant offers a bit of this and a bit of that with its well-known Tapas, You can also unwind at the bar with a cool beer or other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. "Very correct, both for the menu price and the food is fine. We asked for gazpacho, which was better but the vegetable intake was much better. of the first the secret and the very good churrasco, the garrisons not so much. Otherwise very well, correct service although it took a little while but they were full so it is understandable."

"Had a bus tour while in Catalonia and visited Besalu, which was very good and this included lunch so I was very surprised that we had a very good 3 course dinner. Starting with salad on sweet potato, main was pork medallion, with wine of couse and strawberry soup as desert. I do not know the cost as it was included in the tour but I do know this was the best meal I had in the 10 days travelling around."
