"I went here today, there is little open after the season but I was really impressed.The service and the food were really good.The service was attentive and focused the food simple and excellent I shall for sure be back very soon.It was my first time for dinner I had been for lunch but I enjoyed it very much indeed.A very pleasant evening and new discovery as a dinner venue"

"This restaurant is a place to go in the winter since it is located on te top of the Eggli mountain and is easily accessible by cable car from Gstaad. The Snoasis is run by the Rialto in Gstaad and the food and atmosphere are very good. If the weather is nice, then the terrace is a wonderful place to relax"

"We stopped here for lunch after a couple of hours of ski. We sat at the crowded sun terrasse. Waited for 45 minutes until the waiter took our order and then another hour to get our food, although we ordered simple dishes from the menu and the daily menu which was lasagne and salad. (Never got the salad). The food was nothing special and the service was null. The price was over expensive and they charge us for dishes we never ordered. We know that ski restaurants are expensive and that you have to wait since the kitchen is overloaded, but here we fell that it was a scandal"
In nice weather you can even have something in the outdoor area.

"To start with the positive points: amazing view, sunny terrace and nice helpful staff. Then I 've received the food I had ordered. The croûte aux champignons was so industrial, you could tell even before tasting! The mushroom sauce was slimy as if made with gelatin. I couldn 't tell if I was munching a mushroom or a piece of bread as the texture and taste were just the same. I don 't ever want to know what this sauce was made of. I was so disgusted by this dish that I managed to eat only a quarter of it... It was a good thing that I had ordered a small mixed salad on the side as this was more eatable (of course industrial too, but I 've had worse in terms of salads) and I was starving. Add a soda and this awful meal cost 42. ! Things got worse after, as I have spent part of the next night vomiting and sick during the following day...!!! Simply an expensive food poisoning. I cannot even imagine my state had I finished my plate like my parents taught me to. Health control should pay a visit up there. Conclusion: go there, enjoy the wonderful view, have a drink, but don 't even try their dishes! Get a bag of crisps: it 'll be surprisingly healthier than whatever comes out of this so called restaurant 's kitchen."

"I have just spent the evening here for a meal with my family. Despite turning up at the last minute with a large party, they did everything to make sure we were as comfortable and looked after as possible. The burgers we ordered were some of the best I have ever had, and the family service that came along with it was second to none. The atmosphere was kind and inviting, with the homey chalet interior one would expect for the region.Without a doubt I would recommend anyone in the area (or even outside for that matter) to try out McCarthy's. Their food and hospitality was unparalleled and I for one shall certainly be returning when I next can."

"Hamburger and steak, fries excellent. Staff were very helpful. Some of the food on the menu was too rich including artichoke with two sauces was too rich. We would have been happy with just artichoke and olive oil. The fat around the veal was not removed and the sauce was rich and a bit bland. Desert could be improved especially the fruit cake and pastries which are too hard and balance could be improved for the price we paid. We will be going back."
