"In our last vacation in ronsenac we visited this bar several times as a couple for drinks, as a family of four with children and as a mixed group of 8 adult and children for a meal. this is a small, family-run bar...with wonderful home cooking, but also only with the two owners who work there, all our meals came together and all were fresh and hot. the homemade cakes were packed with meats and were “for die”, the ribs fell from the bone and were cleanly picked and the fish and chips were so good or better than anything they can get home. the whole food was delicious, the portion sizes were very good and they were very cheap. the drinks were very valuable and there was a good choice, especially we were very welcome. would definitely recommend a visit if they are in this area of charente."

"We found this wee gem last week and loved it so much we had to return! This time we had the Mexican wrap for lunch and it was delicious, really well prepared and very filling! We love just sitting under the ancient canopy watching the...world go by! We had a piece of nut gateau and a pineapple muffin with coffee to finish, and again, super home baking! We won’t manage another visit before heading back to Scotland but will certainly be back next year!"

"An interesting place to have a drink! I'm fairly convinced that the proprietor had been enjoying his marchandise for most of the day! Sitting outside under the Halles was lovely but going inside the bar is not to be recommended and clients are not particularly catered for inside, although I did risk using the toilet! A friend was genuinely shocked when I told him!!"
