"This is a lifetime experience, in the small village of Pieve di Marebbe, just opposite the church, the house (it was once the court of the area.. where the time seems to have stopped and where the lady and her husband are peacefully manging to take guests into their dimensions. The two dining rooms are decorated with hunting memorabilias and do introduce you to the warmth of mountains lodges, so calm, so unbelievably out of time, so immaculately perfect. Let them do, listen to what they can offer (there is no menu , but make sure do not skip their mezzalunas filled with ricotta and potatoes, of their gnocchetti (spaetzle with spinach, speck and love. Yes they put love in what they cook and in what they do. After the first bite you will fly to heaven, the tastes are so delicate, so unimaginable if you live in a town, the gnocchis were just a masterpiece, something I still dream. And the atmosphere, the silence, the respect for guest, it has been the BEST dining experience while in that region. The only negative thing is that we did not go back ....next time Gran Ciasa means great home, nomen is omen."

"We had some good meals on our Dolomites ski tour, but that was just the best. Wonderful food, staff and ambience pair it with a night sleep in Cianross nearby and you have a perfect night out. In any case it is worth going out (we were in San Cassiano)."

"Pizzas were decent, wiener schnitzel very small portion and veal steakes far away from fair price for served quality. Maybe we were a bit unlucky catching the right moment, but still dissapointing. In general I do not recomend this restaurant, specialy to thoseones who like veal meat steaks."
