"We have visited this restaurant for the last two years whilst in France. Our group consisted of myself and my husband, our two children, and my parents. We came across the restaurant following a review in the guest book of our cottage, and what a delight it has been. Upon arrival, you are greeted by a melee of colour in the restaurant, which is warm and inviting. The proprietor, Daniel is an artist who uses the restaurant as a gallery for his bright and colourful artwork, which creates opportunity for conversation throughout your meal. The menu is generally a set 'menu de l'artiste, at 15 euros per head, but don't think that in getting great value you are going to get an average meal! The food is beyond compare, local produce (we have witnessed Daniel run into his kitchen garden to gather fruit and vegetables/herbs for our meals - you don't get fresher than that), crafted by his wife into exquisite dishes with the most incredibly flavoured sauces. Daniel has always been a wonderful host, and will try his hardest to converse with all of us (including the children) despite not having the best English. He has translated the menu for us (with the help of google translate) when we have had difficulties with French, and even inspired my children to create some artwork. Don't really know where to start with the desserts, apart from to say that if there are a group of you, order a different one each so that you can taste them all! I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough, suffice to say we are returning to France this year, and this little restaurant in this tiny village is one of the reasons why we are going back! A true undiscovered gem, worth the effort to find!"
